CSK Race Exhausts

In the first of a series of blogs covering each of our partners for the 2025 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb we focus on an artist! Charles Metcalfe is that artist, the man behind CSK Race Exhausts creates hand crafted high quality manifolds and exhaust systems for motorsport applications.

Bespoke “equal length” Pikes Peak specification exhaust manifold

Having run CSK products since 2018 were are fully aware of the top quality materials used and the incredible attention to detail in the construction of their manifolds and exhaust systems. Our previous manifold featured a front mounted Turbosmart antilag valve which worked incredibly well however with huge revisions to the radiator, Intercooler and cooling duct work there would be no space for the valve and associated pipe work in its current location. With almost no time in the programme Charlie managed to create this work of art whilst we sorted the logistics of getting the car, spares and our team half way across the world.

For several years we have been running a 3.5” super light weight CSK titanium rear exit exhaust system, the brief for Charlie was to give it a tidy and refit whilst the car was with him however that also didn’t go to plan. On removal it was discovered that the silencers had completely collapsed most likely due to Damien’s love of ALS…. This is the same exhaust that was on the Legacy for our closed car record at Shelsley Walsh last year!

A completely new stainless twin side exit system was created including the coolest looking side pipes to feature on a race car.

We tested the car at a secret location prior to shipping out for America and the exhaust sounds amazing, the equal length manifold looses a little of the flat four burble but it is replaced with a super bike type note. The noise restriction for Pikes Peak is that there isnt one so do we remove the silencer wadding when the car reaches base camp?

We can’t thank Charlie enough for all his efforts on the car in preparation for this incredible adventure, the man has been an absolute hero.
